As in most cities in Spain, accommodation in hotels and other types of establishments in Bilbao is expensive and scarce. Therefore, we encourage you to search for and rent the most convenient option as soon as possible.
On a positive note, it should be highlighted that the Faculty of Economics and Business of Sarriko, where the Conference will take place, is very well connected by public transport, with the metro being particularly convenient.
Furthermore, the local committee of the Critical Economics Conference and Economists Without Borders Euskadi, in collaboration with Blas de Otero Residence (Calle Cortes 38, Bilbao), offer full funding for a limited number of places for students (see instructions below). These individuals will also have their Conference registration fee covered.
On the other hand, the Young Scholars Initiative also provides financial aid to students. You can find more details here.
For the rest of the participants, we would like to share two offers that may be of interest to you.
- At the Blas de Otero Residence itself, subject to availability, you can get a 15% discount on the price published on the residence’s website (see details below).
- At the IBIS Indautxu hotel, a limited number of rooms for one or two people are available. More information will be provided individually after registration.
